You lost. Get over it, all of you.
A poll came out today that says that only 52% of Hilary Clinton’s supporters are now supporting Barack Obama for President.
Senator Obama’s lead in the polls has correspondingly slipped to a 46%-43% advantage, which combined with a 3% margin for error, is a virtual dead tie.
So why aren’t the Hilary supporters out there gunning for our guy now? He’s very close to Hilary on so many of the issues, and so very different from John McCain. Why would 48% be pulling a no-show?
Because they are flat out immature. Almost half of the vigorous primary supporters who voted for Hilary Clinton aren’t supporting the candidate closer to their choice because they are spoiled arrogant children. This isn’t high school. This election isn’t a time to pick who you think is the coolest. We don’t go out to vote just because “it’s a girls’ turn.” We choose who we think is best for America.
So shame on you, Hilary supporters. You haven’t stopped to think that John McCain would be cataclismicly terrible for America, and that if you don’t support Senator Obama that McCain might actually be elected President. Your petty and selfish pouting could cost America dearly, and you should absolutely be ashamed of yourselves. Don’t sulk because the person you wanted to win didn’t make it; support what is best for America.
This is democracy. It’s not a game or a sport that you can just stop watching when your favorite team is knocked out of the playoffs. This affects you, and you have a responsibility as a voter to remain informed on the issues and candidates and do what is right.
Hilary stood for certain things, like supporting the middle class and changing the health care system drastically. Senator Obama also supports those ideals, while John McCain clearly opposes them and instead supports big business, oil companies, war, war, and more war.
Do the right thing. Get your head out of the sand and vote for the better candidate.
And grow up.
Suck it up, and think about how this country is going to finally fall apart if a Republican is let even on the lawn of the White House come 2009.

I am glad other people clearly see that voting for McCain, who doesn’t give a damn for the Hillary supporters who are going for him, is suicidal.
As a woman, I find his insulting of our collective intelligence offensive. He does not have anything positive to run on, since he is espousing Bush’s failed policies, so he resorts to negative campaigning and advertising.
His ads are shallow and juvenile, and the ones showing Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton saying Obama is inexperienced demonstrate a 72-year-old man’s failure to comprehend that people’s opinions are open to change when faced with evidence that contradicts their previous ones.
Despite his own “experience.” he has made a lot of gaffes and lapses, especially in the area of foreign affairs where his strength is supposed to lie. In addition, he has indicated a desire to overturn Roe vs. Wade, and has opposed bills for vetearans’ benefits that Obama has supported.
So, voting for him out of spite would be an act
of self-destructive stupidity.
